Honkai Star Rail

Honkai Star Rail was formally launched on April 26, 2023, by MiHoYo. Honkai Star Rail’s release was eagerly awaited by fans of miHoYo’s prior hit titles, like Genshin Impact and Honkai Impact 3rd. Honkai: Star Rail, the fourth installment in the Honkai sci-fi game series, distinguishes itself from its predecessor, Honkai Impact 3rd, by utilising a turn-based RPG structure.
Nonetheless, it retains the gacha genre’s unique miHoYo features, expanding the gaming experience with a variety of collectible characters and prizes. The game’s title relates to the space train, which allows for intergalactic hops, as well as the Honkai, formidable enemies hellbent on destroying civilization.

Honkai: Star Rail is a free-to-play game featuring in-game purchases that is presently available for Windows through the game’s official website and the Epic Games Store, as well as compatibility on Android and iOS. A future release for the PlayStation 4/5 platform is also in the works, promising even more ways for players to embark on this exciting interplanetary trip.

Honkai Impact 3

Honkai Impact 3 is the predecessor of Honkai: Star Rail, offering a high-octane action RPG experience enhanced by a gacha system. The game takes place in a world on the verge of disaster, surrounded by the Honkai, a mysterious and deadly entity. In this desperate environment, players in Honkai Impact 3 are charged with forming a formidable force of Valkyries to fiercely confront the Honkai and save humanity from approaching disaster.

Honkai Impact 3 was created by the same prestigious studio and closely resembles the essence of Star Rail. While the action is not turn-based, players may expect to see recognisable characters with unique abilities, encouraging consistency and familiarity throughout the gaming experience. Regardless of the variations in gameplay mechanics, the seamless integration of similar characters offers a smooth transition for those looking for a new but familiar journey in Honkai Impact 3.

Tower of Fantasy

Tower of Fantasy is playable on both PC and mobile platforms, immersing players in a world beset by horrific calamity. The story revolves around a group of people who are forced to leave Earth, along with the whole human population, due to the depletion of crucial resources required for life.
After creating their characters, players in Tower of Fantasy go on a fascinating adventure through a huge open world with a gripping blend of fantasy and sci-fi themes.

The gameplay introduces a dynamic system that allows for seamless weapon and battle style shifting on the fly. Engaging action-based combat features extend to both the PvE and PvP aspects of the MMORPG Tower of Fantasy, encouraging teamwork with friends to defeat progressively dangerous bosses and face diverse challenges in a vibrantly coloured world.

Noah’s Heart

Archosaur Games, well known for their work on Dragon Raja, created Noah’s Heart, a huge open-world action-adventure MMORPG.
This highly anticipated sequel, masterfully built with the cutting-edge Unreal Engine 4, is accessible on both PC and mobile platforms. Within Noah’s Heart, players are immersed in a limitless world, free of borders and abounding with varied weaponry, magic, mechs, and other exciting features.

Embark on an adventurous trip with your group, visiting varied biomes and encountering Phantoms inspired by historical personalities, or choose unbounded exploration by setting your own path. Remarkably, if you travel far enough, you will ultimately complete a full circuit around the globe of Noah’s Heart, returning to your starting location.

Ni no Kuni: Crossworlds

Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds is an exciting new installment in the acclaimed “Ni no Kuni” game series, carefully designed by LEVEL-5, graced with Studio Ghibli’s gorgeous animation, and supported by Joe Hisaishi’s mesmerising orchestral compositions. This mobile RPG game introduces players to a wonderful universe with the visual appeal of an animated film.

Within this enthralling universe, players in Ni no Kuni: Cross Worlds meet a plethora of various vocations, each with its own allure and talents. A complete guide is readily available to provide players with a thorough understanding of various vocations, allowing them to make informed decisions that align with their goals and play style. Amidst this immersive encounter, the protagonist is plunged into a nation on the verge of annihilation. Armed with new allies and motivated by unflinching determination, players begin on a profound adventure filled with difficulties and tribulations, with the noble goal of restoring the destroyed nation and unlocking the enigmatic truths hidden beneath Ni no Kuni’s tapestry.

Tales of Wind

Tales of Wind is one of my favourite games with a similar theme to Genshin Impact. Tales of Wind also includes a Gacha system, so if you’re looking for it, this is the game for you. The game combines RPG action, drama, tactical gaming, and fantasy. Tales of Wind offers a unique tale similar to La Place, in which you must discover the truth in order to send light into the world. While that seems fascinating, there’s more to discover. You get anime-style visuals, music that blends perfectly with the game environment, and excellent voice acting from the characters. Not to mention, Tales of Wind has over 80 different characters that may be obtained through the Gacha system.

You must harness the power of Divinity and establish a new world order. In addition, the game boasts excellent graphics, similar to Genshin Impact, with 3D animations and powerful images. Tales of Wind is an excellent anime-styled RPG game for your iPhone or Android device.

Sdorica

Sdorica, a popular game similar to Genshin Impact, is available for both Android and iOS. The Gacha mechanic is absent from the game, but Sdorica provides access to practically everything else. For starters, the tale is intriguing, and you embark on a quest to discover the one huge dragon who dominates the realm.

Sdorica, like the seven Gods of Genshin Impact, has a magical and puzzling tale that keeps the gameplay fascinating. Not to add, similar to Genshin Impact’s elemental fighting system, you can utilise magical spells to save the world. I won’t claim the game is graphically rich, but it has all the fundamentals, and you’ll enjoy it.

Wuthering Waves

Wuthering Waves is a forthcoming gacha game that has completed closed beta testing, and based on the trailer and overall visuals, the game appears to have exceptional attention to detail. Kuro Games, the creators of Punishing: Grey Raven, are known for their excellent fighting animations, and Wuthering Waves should be no exception; if anything, it should be better.
We don’t know when the game will be available globally, but based on the conditions and the fact that closed beta testing has just concluded, it should be out in a few months, or by the end of the year at the latest.

Overall, we like what Kuro Games has done, and it will be difficult for Hoyoverse to keep gamers from migrating to Wuthering Waves from Genshin.

One Piece’s Fighting Path

One Piece Fighting Path, an upcoming game similar to Genshin Impact, is gaining popularity among mobile players. While the game is officially available for iOS, you must get the Android version from TapTap. Like Genshin Impact, One Piece Fighting Path is an action-packed 3D game with RPG elements.
You can also form teams with other players to defeat your opponents.

The centrepiece of the game is the real-time combat, something we enjoyed in Genshin Impact. Furthermore, the game’s performance has significantly improved in recent months. Aside from that, you can explore the marine environment and gather treasures to embark on a maritime fantasy journey.

RPG Toram

As the name implies, RPG Toram focuses on fictitious role-playing, which is also the core concept of Genshin Impact. It is also an MMORPG game, so you may connect and play with thousands of other players online and embark on an adventure together. In this game, you can customise your character anyway you want. You can also use magic components to improve your skills, collect weapons, solve puzzles for prizes, and explore the gorgeous vast areas with your pals.

There is also an appealing story about a post-catastrophic future in which all four realms exist separately. If all you want is a thrill in the typical RPG style, RPG Toram is a good option.

Nier Automata

Nier and Genshin Impact have numerous differences, yet it’s a fantastic choice if you want more gratifying, silky-smooth combat. Both games have excellent production values, a wide world to explore, and a floating companion, but fighting is where Nier really shines. 2B is a formidable brawler, and darting around shredding opponents never gets boring.

Nier may as well be black and white in comparison to Genshin’s magnificent, colourful panoramas, but if you’re looking for a sci-fi adventure, you can’t go wrong with Nier Automata.

Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

While there is an obvious difference in art style and tone, CD Projekt Red’s fantasy masterpiece is certainly worth a look if you want to scratch your Genshin Impact itch. Witcher 3 immerses gamers in a magnificent yet grim environment. There’s a wonderful tale supported by excellent voice acting and high-quality side missions.

Combat may feel stiff at first, but you’ll be rushing around like Genshin Impact before you know it.
Witcher 3 does an excellent job of creating a tale without requiring prior knowledge of the previous games. I recommend starting with 3 and ignoring the previous titles unless you truly enjoy them, as they are somewhat antiquated and janky.

Breath of the Wild

When Genshin Impact was initially released, miHoYo was accused of mimicking The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which caused some controversy. While the inspiration is evident, anyone who has played both games would tell you that they are very different. If you’re looking for a 3D adventure game with incredibly fluid combat and jaw-dropping vistas, BoTW is well worth it.

While I have some reservations regarding the weapon durability system, this is a fantastic game and easily one of the best on the Nintendo Switch. Best of all, if you’re eager for more, Tears of the Kingdom is another fantastic Zelda title to go into afterward.

Final Fantasy 14

We’re switching genres with this entry, but hear me out. If you enjoyed Genshin Impact’s rich story, character development, and expansive open world, Final Fantasy 14 may be a good fit. Final Fantasy 14 is a massive game that spans multiple expansions and provides hundreds of hours of gameplay.

Much of the plot is voiced, and you’ll be completely immersed in the world of Eorzea before you realise it. Combat is not as free-flowing as Genshin, but it is not turn-based, and with nearly 20 jobs, there is a playstyle for everyone. Best of all, you may play FFXIV’s main game and two expansions for free.

Guild Wars 2

Guild Wars 2, like FFXIV, is an MMO that offers a vast, vivid world to explore. If you enjoy storytelling, Guild Wars will appeal to you because the stories are delivered through amazing voice-acted exchanges that appear like they came straight out of an art book. Guild Wars 2 is a joy to play, and while combat isn’t as direct as Genshin Impact, it’s still fluid and responsive. Because GW2 is an MMO, social events like as World Bosses are important to the experience, yet the community is very welcoming to beginners.

While quite different in many ways, Genshin Impact gamers will enjoy much of what GW2 has to offer.

Another Eden: The Cat Beyond Time And Space

Another Eden, with its time travel aspects and turn-based battle mechanisms, is a charming throwback to some of the great RPGs of the past. It was developed by some of the same crew that worked on Xenogears and Chrono Trigger, which may explain some of the parallels. Surprisingly, Another Eden has little parallels to the many other free-to-play products available right now.

For starters, the game lacks bothersome stamina bars and timers, allowing players to go at their own pace. There are no multiplayer components to speak of, and while microtransactions do occur, they are kept to a minimum and never thrown squarely in the player’s face. Instead, gamers are rewarded to a delightful art style, a fantastic plot, and one of the best soundtracks ever included in a mobile game.

King’s Raid

Unlike some of the other gacha games on the market, King’s Raid is incredibly generous when it comes to handing out new characters. The real challenge here is getting hold of the equipment needed to make them viable party members. It’s not an easy task by any means, but with enough time and patience, is something that most players should realistically be able to achieve.

In that respect, King’s Raid is incredibly free to play friendly; allowing players to remain competitive without needing to take out a second mortgage to pay for microtransactions. They do exist, of course, but in many ways serve more as a time-saver than anything else. Providing you don’t mind a bit of grinding though, there’s no reason why you’d ever need to spend real money on the game.
