How to Remove Powered by Shopify From Store

All Shopify themes have a branded “Powered by Shopify” message at the bottom of every page by default. When consumers click on the branding in the footer, they are sent to Shopify’s homepage.

You’ve come to the correct spot if you’ve recently opened a store and are now wondering how to remove Powered by Shopify from your online store’s footer. Everything you need to know will be covered.

We’ll look at some additional measures new shops should take to establish a bespoke store that retains customers and boosts sales after we describe how to remove this from your footer.

What Does “Powered by Shopify” Mean?

“Powered by Shopify” is the default text link in your store’s footer that informs visitors that your online store was developed using Shopify. It also notifies clients that your online store’s order processing is handled by Shopify. Consider it Shopify’s branding mark for its ecommerce platform. If your online store isn’t live and password-protected, this language will also display on the login page or as Opening Soon.

Can You Remove Powered by Shopify?

Yes. You have the option of removing the “Powered by Shopify” text from your online store.

Many company owners are OK with the connection on their websites, while others choose to remove it for a variety of reasons.

The phrase “Powered by Shopify” is unappealing to certain sellers and company owners. They also believe it detracts from the branding of their shop.

For some vendors, the phrase has a negative impact on visitors.

Because the Powered by Shopify wording is part of your Shopify theme code, you’ll need administrative access to your online store’s dashboard to change it. Don’t worry, no technical expertise is required. Shopify makes it simple to change code, and you don’t need any specific skills beyond what we’ll cover here.
