ARC, an Indian gaming hardware company, has announced a pre-launch beta testing programme for its upcoming ARC X1 handheld. The company will provide selected members from its waitlist early access to the device before its official launch, with the goal of gathering real-world feedback on performance, controls, software, ergonomics, battery life and gameplay.

The first phase of testing will be exclusive to existing ARC X1 waitlist members. Starting August 1, new users joining the waitlist will be considered for participation in Phase 2. ARC emphasizes that the beta is a structured testing programme rather than a promotional giveaway, with participants selected based on testing requirements and representation across different gaming preferences and play styles.
Why Community Testing Matters
ARC’s approach addresses a key reality in hardware development: gaming devices behave differently in real-world conditions than in controlled internal testing. Varied games, playing styles and usage habits often reveal insights that internal teams cannot replicate in a lab environment. The company plans to use this feedback to refine the product before wider commercial release.
