- Now that you’ve received your new folder icons, here are the simple steps for installing them:
- To copy an icon to your clipboard, first open it in Preview (or another image processing tool) and press ⌘+A (or Edit ➤ Select All), then ⌘+C (or Edit ➤ Copy).
- In Finder, choose the folder you want to customize and press “⌘+I” (or File ➤ Get Info).
- Select the folder icon in the top left; you should see a blue highlight around it.
- Then, paste your icon (⌘+V or Edit ➤ Paste), and you’re done!
Tip: To use the same folder icon for many folders, alter the icon on an empty folder and duplicate it as many times as you wish.
