Building your agent can be one of the most challenging parts of Division 2. However, it can also be one of the most enjoyable for many players. How To Gear Up Your Division 2 Agent

This article offers tips for quickly gearing up your Division 2 agents and maximizing your gaming experience.

Get boosting services

While boosting and carrying services are generally frowned upon by gamers, Division 2 offers a vast collection of gaming modes and progression systems that can be skipped to enjoy the gameplay and expansive content. Boosting can improve your agent’s performance in a lot of ways. Boosting can improve your agent’s performance in a lot of ways. One of the best options is to buy cheap Division 2 exotics, but there are other services, including the following:

  • Guaranteed best gear drops like The Ravenous, The Regulus, and the Scorpio Shotgun
  • The option to purchase a selection of builds for PvE and PvP
  • Raid carries

Essentially, boosting services can help you achieve any Division 2 in-game goal, letting you enjoy any aspect of the immersive shooter RPG.

Maximize targeted loot

While this might seem obvious to seasoned players, this strategy can be particularly beneficial to new and returning players. When you open up the map and see there are items you want in areas you enjoy farming, spend as much time playing in those areas to get your desired loot.

While running through an area like Summit can feel like a chore, it’s an excellent place to farm as you can select the target loot. What you choose will drop significantly more than anything else. To change it, go to your map in Summit, press up on the d-pad, and choose what you want to farm.

Spend time in Countdown

Besides its smooth gameplay, playing Countdown is an excellent way to spend time farming. It’s especially advantageous for newer players who don’t have a solid farming build yet, as the eight-player activity allows you to rely more on your teammates. Countdown also enables you to gear up within the hour, closing the gear gap faster. It’s an efficient way to farm for gear, legendary items, named items, and exotics.

Enter the Dark Zone

While the area is notorious for its challenging activities and game modes, playing in the Dark Zone has plenty of benefits, such as the following:

  • It offers heroic quality loot and frequent high-quality drops.
  • You get significant XP in the landmarks.
  • It also doesn’t take that long to clear (around two minutes), typically allowing you to get up to six pieces of loot per landmark (depending on the difficulty).

Remember, going into the Dark Zone with teammates is the best option, as doing it solo can be demanding. However, if you’re confident in your abilities and there’s a targeted loot you desire, it might be worth the try. That said, it’s still best to go in there with a group, particularly when there’s targeted loot, as it’s one of the fastest ways to farm.

Use matchmaking

With the vast majority of the Division 2 community running heroic difficulty, finding a proficient group could be easy. This also means you probably won’t mind carrying players with lower-level gear. However, there will be pretentious groups who will only run with players with top builds. If this happens and they kick you, just go through the matchmaking process again and you’ll likely have better luck.

If you haven’t done matchmaking before, follow the steps below:

  • Go to your map and find Matchmaker. You can matchmake into a random mission at any difficulty you want.
  • If you choose this route, avoid dying repeatedly. As such, ensure you have a reviver hive, stay back, and stay in cover. You can also do this for Summit at any difficulty.

Playing with a group is a proven way to gear up your Division 2 agent quicker (even in the game’s latest season). This approach helps complete missions and activities faster, allowing you to stock up on gear more efficiently.

Take advantage of the Expertise system

If you haven’t played around with Gear Expertise yet, it’s a progression feature enabling you to improve the maximum performance of high-end and other quality items. Essentially, the system lets you increase your Proficiency Rank with individual items of the same gear type.

Below are tips for maximizing Gear Expertise:

  • Frequent vendors: Make a habit of visiting the vendors and purchasing their items. When the vendors reset, go back and repurchase. For example, if you buy 20 Tactical Mk 16s and go to an expertise table, you can donate it, making the item proficient. The expertise system allows you to donate duplicate items instead of deconstructing them. This effectively reduces the grind to the maximum expertise score. Remember to get at most 20 pieces of an item to donate because once they’re proficient, you can no longer use it to level up your expertise.
  • Play Summit: While you can do this for all levels, play the Floor 10 farm, mark all the gear you get as junk, and fill up your inventory. Then go back to the expertise table and donate your haul to increase their proficiency, similar to the above process.
  • Craft gear: Instead of buying from vendors, go to the crafting station and craft 20 items you can donate. Note that you can only craft one item at a time. However, once done, you can repeat the process above and donate them to increase their proficiency.

The Gear Expertise feature adds yet another level to mastering Division 2. While it’s no shortcut to turning your agent into a juggernaut, it’s an excellent way to learn how different items and weapons work as you increase proficiencies.

Final words

There are various ways to approach gearing up and advancing in Division 2. Most of them  requires grinding, whether completing tasks, performing raids, or battling in the open world. Any route you choose, Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 offers fantastic gameplay with the backdrop of immersive content as a reward.
