Schools should Help Children to Work on their Dream, Anirudh Khaitan

Khaitan Public School, Sahibabad (Ghaziabad) recently celebrated its grand annual day function on Saturday, amidst great vivacity and ebullience at KPS Sports Complex. Ms. Anita Kundu, an eminent mountaineer presently working as an SI with Haryana police presided over as the Chief Guest. She is also the first Indian woman to scale the Mt. Everest from the Chinese side. The other distinguished guests Mr. Kamesh Khaitan of Khaitan Education Centre, Mr. Anirudh Khaitan, The Vice-Chairman of Khaitan Education Centre, Ms. Karuna Khaitan and Ms. Sapna Khaitan, as well as the Education Director of KPS Ms. Geeta Varshneya, graced the occasion with their benign presence. Guests of Honour included Dr. Ashutosh Khurana and Ms. Shalini Khurana, the Chief Curators of the Thots Lab, Mr. Ashok Batra, The External ISO auditor, and Ms. Shalini Kamboj and Mr. Sameer Kamboj, Executive Directors at SKC Consulting Pvt. Limited.

The function commenced with religious fervour exhibited by the usual ceremonial lamp being lighted and was followed by a sonorous symphony presented by the KPS choir. The sequence of the evening opened with the invocation of Goddess Durga, the epitome of women power, through a dance sequence. The programme sought to salute human tenacity and its spirit to survive through a sequence called “Dare to Dream” directed by Faisal AlKazi. The sequence desired to delineate the human history through all its phases. It concluded with paying homage to Bhagat Singh, the famous martyr.

Vice Chairman, Mr. Anirudh Khaitan in his address shared with the spectators the reason behind the theme of the annual day. India is one of the fastest economies today. Our children have a unique opportunity to partake in this growth and thus “Dare to Dream”; it was the theme that resonated with the current state of Indian economy. The grand event culminated with the vote of thanks proposed by the Head Girl, Shreya Goel, followed by the National Anthem.
