‘I Hope’- A Game for Social Cause Launched on Kickstarter

Los Angeles, CA: Los Angeles-based game studio Arconyx has launched the Kickstarter campaign for “I, Hope,” a game dedicated to a social cause.

“I, Hope” is a 3D platformer with a combat system that is easy enough for a child to understand, but complex enough for a hardcore gamer to enjoy. The gameplay centers around discovering unique abilities entrenched within magical floating islands in order to solve puzzles and defeat enemies.

The story follows Hope, a young girl whose life is turned upside down when a mysterious monster named Cancer falls from sky and lands on her island home.

“I, Hope” is being developed with the support of Anomalia, Europe’s premier animation training program. There, artists & professionals join with like-minded people to hone their skills and learn the techniques implemented by top artists from the best studios in the world.

Arconyx will develop the game and donate it in its entirety to GameChanger Charity, who will then publish and distribute the game with 100% of the profits going directly toward benefiting children with life-threatening illnesses and their families.

“We’ve always believed that gaming is the most powerful storytelling medium there is. The feelings and bonds created through gaming are more than just imagined; they’re real, substantial memories that can make a lasting impact on our lives. With ‘I, Hope’ we aim to create a game that captures this impact and shares it with people who need it the most.” Said Kenny Roy, Founder of Arconyx.

‘I Hope’ campaign is launched on Kickstarter.com, and has started with a positive response from the community.
