Welcome to Digital Coqurer’s tech video Channel. Today we are going to unbox the first ever Cyanogen OS device., made by Micromax under a completely different branding YU YUREKA!

This is going to be a raw unboxing, but I ll try to cover as much as I can.

The device came in with a pleasant packaging, and before getting my hands on Yureka itself, I am going to show you the rest of the box contents first.

These are some of the documents we get with the box, first one being the Warranty Card. And then the user manual. Generally, I don’t insist on reading the user manual, but I would suggest you to read this one. Being a Cyanogen OS powered device, Yureka comes with some amazing add-ons that normal Android smartphones doesn’t have.

And if you have never heard about these Caynogen features before, get started with this manual.

Like any other Micromax devices, this one also came in with a screen protector custom-made for Yureka,. The screen protector also comes with the required accessories, for its proper application.

Next thing is a mini box which contains…….. The big battery and the headphones. The battery looks huge, considering it needs to power up this big device. The 2500 mAH battery is more than sufficient for many of the unlocked Cyanogen OS features, Powerful Octa-core processor, 4G LTE connectivity & mighty 5.5 inch display.

Next thing is the headset, which I am not expecting a lot for the price. These are in-ear buds, which will surely be better than the traditional on-ear buds. There is a simple call answering button on the remote, not volume controls. ( More info on quality will be covered in the review, I am uploading next week.)

The last thing in the box is the charger, separated in two parts – data cable……. And the charging adapter. The quality of both of these is pretty average, but it’s not surprising from the manufacturer and not a big deal as well.

The adapter has a charging indicator, and the USB connector is on the side, which is convenient than its traditional placement.

So the box content is done, but there is nice surprise by Yu team, as they have included this really nice leather cover in the package for free. I’m not sure, if they are going to provide it in upcoming flash sales or when it goes for normal sale on Amazon. This is a genuine leather cover with the MRP of Rs. 999!

And finally here is the device, with sharp dark looks. And that Corning Gorilla Glass with IPS display adds the premium visual feeling to the device, even when it’s turned off.

The device has this guide in matte screen cover, which mentions some of the most prominent features of Yureka Yu.

The back cover has a minor grainy texture, which looks pleasant and feels and feels quite tough. The cover is again made of plastic, but should not cause any handling issues.

There is only this YU branding in sky blue color, which I think is a good decision by Micromax team, keeping their Android and Cyanogen devices under distinct branding.

On the left side of this device, there is only this power button, which feels sturdy and has a shiny metallic finish.

On the opposite side are just the volume rockers, with the same premium metallic finish, and give a nice feedback on the clicks.

Yureka has a 3.5mm standard headphone jack on the top, so you can easily plugin your favorite set of headsets or headphones.

On the bottom of the device is a microUSB charging or data port, which is located slightly located towards the left.

Moving over to the back side, we have this 13 MegaPixels camera with a bright LED flash. Then follows a microSD card slot and the first SIM slot. The SIM 2 is located at other side, so as to keep a space for battery.

And here is the big slot for battery.’

I am peeling of the screen protection now, so you can see this shiny new Cyanogen OS 11 powered device, which is said to be competing with the most popular OnePlus One.  I am going to compare them both in a coming week, so make sure you subscribe to Digital Conqurer right now!

Yu Yureka comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 615,  1.5 GHz octa core processor,  Adreno 405 GPU clocked at 550MHz,  2GB DDR3 RAM,  LTE Chip for up to 150 MBPS connectivity.

5.5 inch HD IPS display is of HD resolution 1280×720, and comes with the powerful corning gorilla glass 3.

The front camera is 5 Megapixel shooter, whereas rear one is 13 MP camera with F 2.2 aperture & Sony IMX 335CMOS sensor to capture vivid and lifelike pictures!
