Natrang Marathi Movie Review – Don’t Miss This One

Just to let you know that I am marathi guy, I never watched any marathi movie in multiplex ever before but this time, Natrang movie has managed to pull the audience like me from their TV to multiplex, And trust me the movie was really giving tough fight to bollywood movies in all fields – Music, Cinematography, Acting, Direction, Dance in almost everything.

We never used to see movies in their only because there low budget, repeated topics & blah, blah, blah . Very talented actors & directors are there  in this industry but proper support was never there for them. But if you see this movie -  it seems like marathi industry is taking big step to compete with bollywood now.

Its like all laws breaking movie for Marathi Film Industry, way it was promoted all over was like typical ‘big budget – big expectations ‘ type movie. Urban people came out to watch at all the multiplexes & literally the first weeks are giving openings 100% to 80% , making it hit all over the Mumbai, Pune, Nashik & Kolhapur.

Tamasha, the subject which was handled before in many films ( I remember myself watching Pinjra the great movie ), was handled very differently here, The story writing has traditional flow with experimentation in conflicts, the way they are presented on screen by director was truly astonishing.

The very first Lavni Dance, was so dynamically presented by the actress, which was flowing with the music. The song increased expectation from movie, & it was fulfilled with each sequence that appeared in whole movie. Atul Kulkarni - who took really great efforts to develop a Body builder labour to effeminate tamasha character (Nacha) on screen. No doubt, Atul is one of the great diamond that Marathi film industry have, who have also won two National Awards for his supporting acting in Hey Ram & Chandni Bar . The transformation of his, into a Nacha character was so impressive that people can’t stop them from clapping for second time in the movie. Again the Lavanya Sundari in this movie is Sonali Kulkarni, who performed too good in dancing as well as acting. Especially when she danced along with the music of song Apsara Ali , feels like actual Apsara is dancing in front of you. (Its my personal opinion, she looks too good in the song -  Hope all of you liked it too.)

The movie is second big hit after ‘Mi Shivajiraje Bhosale Boltoy‘ – By Mahesh Manjrekar, who have also released his second movie ‘Shikshanachya Aaicha Gho’ which is again one of the most discussed topic within youth, and attracting big crowd in multiplexes as well as theaters.

All in all, Natarang is great movie & must to watch, and I will always remember this movie as the revolution or turning point for Marathi movies, because they have made no compromise in promoting the movie & the movie deserves the super hit tag. So if you still sitting at your homes & just thinking to watch, just go out there & watch the movie !!!
