Train the New Workforce to Change the Economic Scenario: Amitabh Kant

Jaipuria School of Business recently organised an International Conference at NDMC Convention Centre, New Delhi. The theme of the conference was “Changing Economic Scenario: Strategies for Business Sustainability”. The Conference opened with a video address by Hon’ble Union Minister of Commerce Shri Suresh Prabhu.
 
Sh. Amitabh Kant, CEO, NITI Ayog, Govt. of India was the Chief Guest & Key Note speaker at the conference. He laid emphasis on training the new workforce in adapting themselves towards changing economic scenario. He appreciated the mode of start ups and emphasized on innovative management of land, water and gas. Sh. Sanjeev Chopra, Additional Chief Secretary to the Government of West Bengal, was the Guest of Honour. He said that Technology and Idea are the driving forces of change today. Young workforce has to be highly adaptive to technology to keep pace with the Global Standards. He emphasised on the importance of asking questions and listening carefully for answers can come from anywhere.
 
Sh. Shishir Jaipuria, Chairman, Board of Governors, Jaipuria School of Business addressed the gathering and welcomed all the dignitaries and guests to the event. He laid emphasis on importance of Education and training for the new emerging workforce to bring Business sustainability. He appreciated Inclusive growth and initiatives taken by Indian government towards transformation of financial processes. Dr S K Mahapatra, Director, Jaipuria School of Business proposed a vote of Thanks.
 
A Book was also released on the Conference Theme with edited articles and research papers.
 
Over 300 intellectuals from the academia, banking sector, corporate and civil society participated in the conference. Over twenty eminent intellectuals addressed the gathering at the conference including Mr Alexander Shchegolev, Dy. Trade Commissioner, Russian Embassy; Mr. TK Arun, Editor, Opinion, Times of India; Mr. Anand Pillai, MD, Leadership Matters; and Sh. KG Suresh, Director General, IIMC to name a few. There were two technical sessions where the panellists deliberated and discussed the possible business sustainability measures at length. The first panel discussion was moderated by Dr. Aquil Busrai, Director, Aquil Busrai Consulting while the second one was moderated by Mr. Vijay Sinha, Sr. V P, JSW Energy Ltd.
 
Twenty four selected research papers were presented the Conference by presenters from various institutes in India, Mauritius, Dubai, and the U.S. The papers were adjudicated by Dr. Vidya Sekhri, Director, ITS, Ghaziabad, Jury for the paper presentation. Dr. Sekhri, in her address appreciated the insightful work of the presenters. The best presenters were awarded during the valedictory session by Guest of Honour, Sh. K G Suresh, Director General, IIMC, S K Mahapatra, Director, Jaipuria School of Business, and Mr Vinod Malhotra Advisor, Jaipuria Group of Educational Institutions. Mr. Vinod Malhotra delivered the valedictory address while the Conference Director, Dr. NK Gupta presented the Vote of Thanks.
