Testimonials from NGO Partners
“We are happy to be associated with Dell for over 9 years now. Today, when we see the company approach this important milestone, we feel proud to be associated with them. We began work with Dell in 2009 with just 24 schools, only to grow stronger and serve 3641 schools across 6 states today. With Dell’s assistance, we were able to launch the Digital Equalizer program across India to bridge the digital divide and transform under-resourced schools into dynamic places to teach and learn through collaboration and projects. The Dell Youth Learning program has been an inspiring and revered partnership in the journey to prove that technology plays a vital role in empowering the youth of today,” Sajit Menon, Head of Programs, American India Foundation.
“The Gyan Shakti Program supported by Dell Youth Learning has helped empower more than 150,000 youth and equip them with 21st Century Skills. Dell provided state of the technology while we drew plans for providing quality education, keeping innovation as the core component. The outcome has been a wonderful partnership with remarkable impact. We find a new enthusiasm and eagerness in acquiring knowledge and exploring the power and potential of technology. The Dell Youth program has helped bring about a paradigm shift in the way teachers teach and students learn. The program is helping youth become creators and innovators and not such consumers of knowledge,” Nuriya Ansari, Managing Partner, Learning Links Foundation.
“Sikshana started its journey of improving the quality of education delivered by the Public Primary Schools in India in 2005. The intervention called “Prerana” was piloted in a few schools till 2008, but we needed to rapidly expand to hundreds of schools to prove the validity of the model and here large grants from Dell made it possible. To meet our goal of scaling Prerana to all schools in Karnataka, we had to create an Analytics, Process and Tools (APT) platform to help State manage the program. Here again Dell helped us with the necessary hardware to create the system which is now being used by the Department to monitor the progress of 2.2 million children studying in nearly 44,000 schools across Karnataka,” Prasanna Vadayar, CEO, Sikshana Foundation.
