LASER World of PHOTONICS INDIA Returns to New Delhi: Largest Edition Ever with New Exhibits from the Laser and Optics Industry

Business Wire IndiaThe 6th edition of LASER World of PHOTONICS INDIA, the only trade fair for the laser and photonics industry in India, will take place from September 14 to 16, 2017 at Pragati Maidan Exhibition Center in New Delhi. The three-day trade fair will provide manufacturers from various user industries, distributors, government authorities and state corporations with opportunities to interact and network with exhibitors from across the industry.
 
Bhupinder Singh, CEO of Messe München India, said: “We are pleased that this year we will have the largest edition ever in terms of exhibitors, technologies and exhibition space. Laser and optical technologies have become important for many industries and we want to offer knowledge and value to our visitors in our conferences.”
 
Spread over an area of 5000 sqm with about 165 exhibitors from 16 countries, some of the leading companies such as Advanced Photonics, Coherent Laser India, EO Technics, IPG Photonics, Laser Science, Max Photonics, Sahajanand Laser Technology, Scantech Laser, Star Laser, Suresh Indu Lasers and TRUMPF, to name but a few, will take part in the event. Technology will also be showcased at country pavilions from Germany, China, Lithuania and the USA. The trade fair will also feature Machine Vision as an important segment where OEMs, mechanical engineering companies and systems houses will learn about the latest innovations. Industrial giants, e.g. Coherent, Cognex and Mahr, will exhibit their products in this segment.

Business, Academia and Research – Hand in Hand
 
To enable scientists, industry experts and users to exchange information and experiences, the trade fair will feature two conferences which will include a series of specific presentations and panel discussions to examine industry topics. Additive Manufacturing Insight (AMI) – International Conference on Additive Manufacturing Technology will be held on October 15, 2017. It will offer attendees a comprehensive understanding of the state-of-the-art in 3D printing and the latest technological advances in 3D printers and their application for the Indian market. Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Photonics Short Courses – IEEE Photonics will organize four short industrial courses on Fiber Lasers and Applications, Ultrafast  Lasers and Medical Applications of Lasers, Nanophotonics and Nano-Technology, and Fundamentals of Fiber Optics and Waveguides.
 
Additive Manufacturing Pavilion
 
Industrial 3D printing has reached its tipping point, and is about to go mainstream in a way that will revolutionize the economy. Understanding its prominence in the near future, LASER World of PHOTONICS India will for the first time dedicate a special exhibition area showcasing laser-based processing and systems for additive manufacturing in industrial applications. The main objective of the dedicated area will be to provide in-depth information on the state-of-the-art in 3D printing and its applications for the Indian market. Leading companies such as Capricot Technologies, 3D Systems, Novabeans Prototyping Labs, Redington India Limited, Renishaw Metrology Systems, Shree Rapid Technologies and Stratasys will take part in the Additive Manufacturing Pavilion.
 
Laser Safety Forum and Buyer Seller Forum
 
The Laser Safety Forum is another attraction this year, which will cover all aspects of laser safety practice and hazard control. Laser safety experts will share their know-how and provide training on the practical applications of laser safety. Manufacturers of laser safety products will meet new customers and help them make their work safer. The Laser Safety Forum will explore everyday scenarios which all users involved in laser activities may encounter.
 
Building on the success of the last edition, Messe München India will again stage the Buyer Seller Forum where buyers and sellers will meet face to face in a conducive business environment. This Forum will include high value-added for the participants by connecting them to a potential business associate.
